Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2025

This policy explains how CleanWave (referred to as "we", "us" or "our") collects and uses personal data when you contact us or book a mobile furniture cleaning service. We operate in Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Ravda and Sveti Vlas, Bulgaria, and we process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Bulgarian data protection law.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is CleanWave, a mobile upholstery and mattress cleaning service based on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us by email at hello@cleanwave.bg or by phone at +359 88 123 4567.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact details you share with us in a messenger or by phone: your name, phone number and, if needed for the visit, your address, hotel name, room or apartment number.
  • Photos of your furniture that you send us so we can estimate the price and prepare for the job.
  • Order details: which items you want cleaned, the agreed price, the appointment time and the result of the visit.
  • Message content: the messages you exchange with us in WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, Instagram or by email.

We do not collect data through this website itself. The site has no contact forms, no analytics and no advertising trackers.

3. Why we use your data

  • To prepare your quote and answer your questions: this is necessary to take steps before a contract at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To carry out the cleaning service you booked, including arrival at your address: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep basic records of completed orders for accounting and tax purposes: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • To improve our service based on general feedback: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Messengers and third parties

We communicate through WhatsApp (operated by Meta), Telegram (operated by Telegram FZ-LLC), Viber, Instagram and regular email. When you write to us there, those platforms act as independent data controllers for the messages stored on their servers. Their own privacy policies apply to that storage. We recommend not sending more personal data in messengers than needed for a quote, for example no identity documents.

Payment providers and banks process transaction data when you pay by card or bank transfer, under their own policies.

5. How long we keep your data

Chat history and photos stay in our messengers until you ask us to delete them or until we clean up old chats, usually once a year. Order records connected to payments are kept for the period required by Bulgarian accounting and tax law, generally 5 years after the financial year.

6. Cookies and local storage

This website stores only two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your chosen theme (dark or light) and your chosen language. These are strictly functional, they never leave your device and they are not used for tracking. No cookies are set by us, and no third-party tracking scripts are loaded.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • get a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted when there is no legal reason for us to keep it;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, if processing is based on consent.

To use any of these rights, write to hello@cleanwave.bg. We reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Commission for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Bulgaria (KZLD, cpdp.bg).

8. How we protect your data

Access to order chats is limited to the people who actually perform the service. Our devices are locked with passwords or biometrics, and we do not forward client photos or addresses to anyone outside the team except where necessary to complete your booking (for example, a second technician joining your visit).

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Significant changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated directly to active clients.
